Is a personal one…. in 1993 I found myself needing to care for my own Mother when she fell & broke her hip. Back then, as a working Mom myself, I realized the difficulty in trying to do all of the caregiving myself plus work full time. Mom’s doctor told me he was going to arrange home care to help me.

I’ve often told new clients…”Back then, I didn’t know what home care was…but I knew what it wasn’t when we got it”

From that difficult experience it then became my personal mission to raise the standards on home care. To do things the right way – holding caregivers accountable, providing reliable care appointments, proper background checks, drug testing, caregiver training and having quality control systems in place to measure the standards of care being provided. I began to realize then how meaningful it was to me to see the difference we were making in the lives of the elderly needing support help at home. Of all the things I had accomplished in my previous career, this now was my most important accomplishment - improving the quality of life to the elderly, many of whom may only have an outside Caregiver to depend on. For me, it doesn’t get better than that.
